Trend of the Week
Ponytails and Hoops

The newest way to wear your ponytail? With hoops. Whether with HILARY DUFF's side-swept version or KATE HUDSON'S sleek high rider, the casual combo is stepping off the street and onto the red carpet. The ponytail is "feminine and flirty, and even with summer's heat affecting hair texture, it's still sexy," says Ken Pavés, who styles JESSICA SIMPSON's hair. And you don't need a pro to groom your pony. "It's easy to do yourself—the more effortless the better," says Pavés. Giddyap!

I haven't had my hair this short since I was 4," says Less than Perfect's Sara Rue. She dyed it blonde after the season finale, and three months later cut off 7 in. at L.A.'s B2V salon. "I warned the stylist that I may cry, but I didn't!" she says. The new do is mature and sleek. "I feel like a totally different person—I just went to a party and planned my dress around my hair."

Oh, say, have you seen the stars' spangled bangles? Celebs are singing the praises of these colorful crystal bracelets by Nur. Kirsten Dunst bought three of the handmade pieces, and Nicole Richie has four—perfect for piling on and wearing in multiples. What a bright idea.
