Seems Jamie-Lynn DiScala's marriage is taking a hit. The Sopranos star went to a New York City runway show Sept. 13 with-out manager-husband A.J.—or her wedding ring. On Sept. 8 A.J. rolled solo with pal Nick Lachey to a Stuff party in L.A.'s Tropicana Bar. A pal of the DiScalas' acknowledges a rift and says, "They were like Paul and Linda [McCartney]—they'd go everywhere together. That they haven't been together recently says a lot." On Sept. 16 at Manhattan's SushiSamba 7, Jamie-Lynn exchanged messages with a flirtatious actor who sent a waiter to say hello for him while she was dining with pals. "Jamie wanted to meet him but wouldn't admit it," says our spy. Jamie-Lynn's rep had no comment.
LINDSAY'S MAGIC HAIR
Lindsay Lohan's cropped do at the Sept. 14 Christian Dior screening of Proof was chic, but her miraculously restored locks at New York City hot spot Level V the next night were shocking. What gives? Hairstylist Oscar Blandi says he hid Lohan's real hair in two tight braids, added extensions to the top of her hair and then cut the extensions into an edgy bob. "It came out looking like she got a haircut," Blandi says. "It's a way of giving someone a makeover without cutting their own hair." Lindsay's pals gushed over her new look even before they found out it wasn't a real cut. Lindsay's reaction? Says Blandi: "She loved it!"
At the Toronto Film Festival, Ethan Hawke turned heads by making out with a cute blonde in Premiere Lounge's VIP room Sept. 14. Who was the mystery woman? Emese Szenasy, a PR director for Club Monaco.... Survivor's Stephenie LaGrossa, the most popular female player in show history, says returning as a surprise Survivor: Guatemala contestant wasn't an easy decision. "Twice in one year, I quit big pharmaceutical company jobs. Now I'm banned from the industry," she says. Plus, she had to fib to explain her two-month disappearance to friends and family. Her excuse? A worldwide autograph-signing tour.
Usually, Sean "Diddy" Combs lets the party come to him. So what the heck happened backstage at Zac Posen's show Sept. 15? Boasting a gold-toothed grill. Diddy ran circles around the models, yelling, "This is a blessing, people!" Diving into a photo op with Posen, Naomi Campbell and fashion guru Andre Leon Talley, he then hugged each and did an arm-flailing dance in the middle of the room. Maybe it's his recent name change? Says Diddy: "It's so sudden. I ain't gonna lie: I miss the P."
