Her band is at home on the stage, but Gwen Stefani was in no hurry to put her clothing line in the spot-light. "I want to grow it slowly and have it be around forever," says Stefani, who launched L.A.M.B. last year. "I wanted to wait until we were ready." That moment arrived Sept. 16, when she debuted her funky designs at New York's Olympus Fashion Week. Famous pals like Diddy and Ashanti cheered her on along with her biggest fan, mom Patricia. "She was the one who taught me to sew," says Stefani, "and she's the guest of honor tonight." The show, featuring Stefani-mixed tunes and models emerging from low-rider cars, "blew me away," says husband Gavin Rossdale. "It looked like [Gwen] coming down the catwalk over and over." With L.A.M.B. sneakers already available and jewelry, bags and lingerie on the way, Stefani could use a double, even for the afterparties. She and Rossdale were going to celebrate, says Rossdale, "5,000 percent."
