BIRTHS
Late-night talk show host Conan O'Brien, 42, and his wife, Liza, 35, welcomed their second child, a boy, Beckett, Nov. 9 in New York. Big sister Neve is 2.

EXPECTING
Actress Martha Byrne (As the World Turns), 35, and her husband, Michael McMahon, 38, a retired NYPD sergeant, are expecting a third child this spring. They have two sons, Michael, 7, and Max, 3.

HOSPITALIZED
On Nov. 10 actress Brooke Burns (North Shore), 27, suffered a mild fracture in her neck while diving into the pool at her L.A. home. She underwent surgery and returned home Nov. 15. "She's going to make a 100 percent full recovery," says her manager.

LEGAL MATTERS
On Oct. 28 in Chicago, deejay Eric E-Smoove Miller, 38, filed a countersuit against hip-hop star Kanye West, 28, claiming that he cowrote some of the rapper's songs and should profit from them. In August, West filed a $1.3 million suit alleging that Miller tried to sell his unreleased songs to distributors using a contract with a forged signature. A rep for West had no comment.... Rapper Brother Marquis, 38, a former member of the group 2 Live Crew, filed a lawsuit Nov. 14 in Manhattan against fellow hip-hop star Ice-T, 47 (Law & Order: SVU). The rapper claims he cowrote lyrics to the song "99 Problems" (released by Ice-T in 1993) but was paid just $10,000. He's seeking at least $80,000. A rep for Ice-T could not be reached for comment.

DROPPED
On Nov. 14 actress Sharon Stone, 47, dropped a lawsuit she filed last December against Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Rena-to Calabria. Stone alleged that the doctor was responsible for magazine stories printed last year implying that he performed a cosmetic procedure on her. "Ms. Stone did the honorable thing when she realized the case was based on a misunderstanding," said Calabria's attorney. A lawyer for Stone could not be reached for comment.

ANNOUNCED
On Nov. 8 high school senior Michael Sessions, 18, won the mayoral election in Hillsdale, Mich., a town of about 8,500 residents. Sessions, a write-in candidate who will be one of the youngest mayors in the U.S. when he is sworn in, beat out 51-year-old incumbent Doug Ingles by two votes. Ingles had until Nov. 16 to request a recount.

DEATHS
WWE wrestler Eddie Guerrero, 38, was found dead in a hotel room Nov. 13 in Minneapolis, where he was taping a wrestling show for UPN. Although official autopsy results have not been released, authorities do not suspect foul play. A Texas native and father of three, Guerrero, who was crowned WWE Champion last year, had struggled with drug and alcohol addiction but had reportedly been sober for four years.
