EXPECTING
Actor Kelsey Grammer, 49, and his wife, former Playboy model Camille Donatacci, 36, are expecting a baby through a surrogate mother later this month. The couple's daughter Mason, 2, was also born to a surrogate. Grammer has two daughters from previous relationships.

BIRTHS
Actor Harvey Keitel, 65, and his wife, filmmaker Daphna Kastner, 43, welcomed son Roman, Aug. 17 in Manhattan. It's the first child for the couple, who wed in 2001. Keitel has two other children from previous relationships.

SPLIT
John Stamos, 41, filed for divorce from Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, 31, Aug. 19 in L.A. The actors, who wed in 1998, announced their separation last spring (PEOPLE, April 26,2004).... Former Major League pitcher Dwight Gooden, 39, and his wife of nearly 17 years, Monica, 37, were divorced Aug. 17 in Tampa. Gooden was ordered to pay $4,000 a month in alimony, as well as $1,929 for support of the couple's four children.

AILING
Singer Dan Fogelberg, 53, best known for hits such as "Leader of the Band," canceled his upcoming fall tour after a recent diagnosis of advanced prostate cancer. "I am undergoing treatment and [I am] very encouraged by the progress," said the singer on his Web site.

IN COURT
Miss Congeniality star Sandra Bullock was in a Travis County, Texas, court Aug. 20 for opening statements in a dispute over her $6.5 million lakefront home in Austin. Developer M.B. "Benny" Daneshjou, 52, is suing Bullock, 40, claiming that she still owes him money for building the home. Bullock is counter-suing, saying that the house was "unlivable and unsafe." Both sides were unavailable for comment.

UPDATE
A lawyer for Marc Anthony said that a third paternity test has confirmed that the singer did not father a child with Elizabeth Leyva, 21. In February, Leyva sued Anthony, 35, for child support, claiming he was the father of her 8-month-old son (PEOPLE, Feb. 16,2004). Previous tests were also negative. Leyva's lawyer says her client has been out of town and not available for comment.

DEATHS
Versatile composer Elmer Bernstein, 82, who wrote the score for more than 200 films and TV series, including To Kill a Mockingbird, The Magnificent Seven and Animal House, died after a long illness in Ojai, Calif. Nominated for 14 Academy Awards, Bernstein won an Oscar for 1967's Thoroughly Modern Millie.... On Aug. 22, Al Dvorin, 81, who became famous for uttering the phrase "Elvis has left the building" as an announcer at Presley's concerts, was killed in an auto accident near Ivanpah, Calif.
