BRITNEY RAP
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are such a cute couple. Your cover shows that. She's taking control and letting people know she's gonna live her life the ways she wants.

I was excited to see Britney, her fiancé and future stepdaughter on the cover. It's refreshing to see that her fiancé chooses to be with her because of love and not with Shar Jackson just because they have children together. I wish Britney the best with everything she chooses in life. And to the rest of the judgmental public, just let the girl live!

Shame on Britney and Kevin for exploiting his young daughter by showing her on your cover. And shame on PEOPLE for writing the cover billing "Family Ties." This isn't a family but a couple of foolish and self-absorbed people who are using this child for their own publicity purposes.

Oops! You made me sick again! It's not enough that Britney overexposes herself and Kevin, but do they have to drag his daughter into their circus of a life? A note to the both of you: We don't want to be there when you conceive your own children. Please save that moment for yourselves.

The photos of Britney with Kevin's daughter speak volumes. Britney is full of goofy smiles, but not once does she appear to be looking at or interacting with the little girl seated next to her. Spears comes across as a shallow young woman and more suited to a life on the stage than taking on any domestic, nurturing role.

Britney, take off those rose-colored glasses. Kevin left another woman in the dust. The pattern would be that he'll do the same again. Didn't your mama ever teach you that?

Britney is such a sweet, caring person. I wish her the best with her relationship and greatest-hits CD.

HOME SIGHT
I'm appalled at the nerve of the homeowners in "Makeover Hits & Misses" who complain about the free upgrades they received from the TV shows Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Trading Spaces and Surprise by Design. They signed up for these programs, knowing they were expected to give up all control. If Janice Scott wants her old house back, I will personally offer to come over for the demolition. EMHE, Trading Spaces and Surprise by Design, call me and I'd be eternally grateful to have you in my home anytime.

LETOURNEAU'S LOVE CHILD
It angers me greatly that the actions of Mary Kay Letourneau and Vili Fualaau are regarded as a "Romeo and Juliet saga" by author Gregg Olsen, who was quoted in your article "Did Love Last?" This was a 12-year-old boy and his grade school teacher. When I send my 11-year-old daughter to school, I trust that the teachers she's interacting with know she's still a child. How would Mrs. Letourneau feel if a teacher took advantage of her children?

HOLDING COURTNEY
Thanks for your article about gymnast Courtney Kupets. Not only is she gorgeous and a fantastic athlete, she's a class act and mature young woman in a sport full of pixies.

KID GLOVES
Reading "Can-Do Kids," about children who are trying to help others, just took my breath away! I plan to share this article with my children to teach them the power of giving.

The next time you want to put The Beverly Hillbillies on the cover, you should try to locate the real actors. Dana Taylor Grayslake, Ill.
