ROY'S RECOVERY
Although we'll never really know for sure if Montecore was trying to help or hurt Roy when he dragged him from the stage, I'm certain it was a miracle that Roy was saved from death. His strength and perseverance are remarkable. He's an inspiration to all to look on the positive side of life when faced with a tragic event.

When will people like Roy Horn realize they do not have a special bond with these animals? When I was 16, my father was killed by his spotted leopard. He also thought he had a special relationship with his cat and that the cat would never harm him. To paraphrase Chris Rock, "People say that cat went crazy when it attacked Roy Horn. That cat didn't go crazy, that cat went cat."

My husband suffered a massive stroke nearly 10 years ago, when he was 28 years old. He's still paralyzed on his right side and has speech and communication disorders. I wish Roy all the luck and good fortune as he recovers. And for the record, I too believe the tiger was helping Roy.

Even though I've never been to a Siegfried and Roy show, the wonderful story about Roy's recovery made me burst into tears. I'm glad Roy is happy at home, and I wish him well.

CAR TALK
Thank you for featuring Oprah Winfrey and her generous donation of 276 cars. I'm glad she was able to partner with an industry and help people in need. If every celebrity would network creatively to help others, this world would truly be a better place.

I'm a big fan of Oprah's and love her show, but your article makes it sound like she purchased all those vehicles. Pontiac actually gave those vehicles away—it was just done on Oprah's show. Oprah has a big heart, but she didn't buy those cars. Be careful how you give someone credit for something they really didn't do.

QUESTIONING VACCINES
I have a message for Melinda Wharton, the acting deputy director of the National Immunization Program at the CDC: If you ever have the opportunity to bury a child or grandchild who dies within 24 hours of receiving vaccination with multiple vaccines, see if science will comfort your feelings. The fact that there is a National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program implies that there are some problems with vaccines. Let's ensure that all vaccines are safe and administered judiciously.

BEATING CANCER
Thank you, Dan Abrams, for speaking out. My husband was diagnosed in 1998 at 24 with testicular cancer. He had noticed the tumor several years before finally being diagnosed. Embarrassment prevented him from going to a urologist sooner. Girls are taught at a young age about breast cancer and self-examinations. Boys, however, aren't taught as openly about testicular cancer. My husband is a survivor and has been cancer free for six years. I am thankful every day for him and his health. Dan and my husband should be proud of their strength and share their stories with others.

TO HEIR IS HUMAN
I've known members of the Hilton family for over 30 years, so I know misinformation about them on sight. Paris Hilton's recounting that "my grandfather Conrad was called Nicky and was the first of Elizabeth Taylor's seven husbands" is wrong. Conrad Hilton was her great grandfather, his son Barron is her grandfather, and it was Barron's brother Nicky, now deceased, who famously was Elizabeth Taylor's first husband. So now your readers will know the real story and, good news, so will Paris!

WORDS OF SUPPORT
Regarding the Britney Spears photo in Star Tracks, you would think that with all the money she has she'd be able to purchase a bra.
