Prince Harry

Harry's Hot Romance

When Prince Harry jetted to Argentina on Nov. 12, the place announced he was there to visit pals and admire top-tier polo ponies. Turns out the 13-day holiday was about more than just horses. On Nov. 14 the Prince showed up at the Hurlingham Polo Club near Buenos Aires with a secret travel companion: Chelsy Davy, 19, a gorgeous Zimbabwe-born blonde he has been quietly dating since the spring. "He came with Chelsy because both his father and grandfather had played there and he was keen to see [the club]," says manager Pepe Santamarina. Of Davy, who joined her royal boyfriend at El Remanso luxury ranch, he adds, "She was very nice and pretty and drew a lot of attention. She wore a pair of these super-low-cut jeans. People were pretty shocked—but in a sexy sort of way."

Davy, whose parents manage private wildlife reserves in Zimbabwe, "enjoys Prince Harry because they both love nature and having fun," says a source in her circle. On a visit to Africa last May, Harry gushed about Davy during a fireside chat while camping in Botswana. "He was quite besotted," says Gary Robinson, a traveler who was there.

For now the pair must settle for long-distance love: Davy attends the University of Cape Town; Harry, blaming a knee injury sustained during military training exercises this summer, will delay his entry into Royal Military Academy Sandhurst until May 2005. But expect the sparks to continue to fly. "Chelsy thrives on success, but she wouldn't be with Prince Harry because of his royal status," says a former classmate of Davy's. "She is a determined go-getter and not intimidated by anyone."
