The celebration, which featured performances by Tony Bennett, Patti LaBelle and the Polyphonic Spree, was held to honor Kenyan environmentalist Wangari Maathai, the first African woman to re- ceive the prestigious prize. The concert airs Dec. 23 on E! Entertainment Television.
