You should listen to Mom, especially if Mom's genes made you look like Cindy Crawford. And Meaningful Beauty, Crawford's new skin-care line, was inspired by her mom's advice: "The face you have at 25 is the face God gave you, but the face you have after 50 is the face you earned." Developed with Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, the system "allows me to share my access to the best doctors, newest ingredients and latest science with women everywhere," says Crawford. If she'd only share those great legs....

A-DRESSING THE NATION
At Inauguration version 2.0, all the President's women wore sleek second-term looks
What a difference four years make, stylistically speaking. George is grayer, Laura's leaner, the first freshmen have morphed into first fashionistas. Instead of relying mainly on Texas talent as in the first round, the Bush ladies prepped for their second Inauguration by flying to New York to work with classic couturiers (Oscar de la Renta, Badgley Mischka) and newer designers (Lela Rose, Derek Lam). Laura had veto power over all choices—"She just wanted to make sure the gowns were appropriate," says Mark Badgley. While the twins are close—"They call each other 'Herm,' short for hermana, which is Spanish for sister," reports Lela Rose—each has her own style. "Barbara is classicism with a modern twist," says Lam. "Jenna is more bohemian." And it looks like Jenna wears the pants in the White House—possibly a swearing-in first for First Daughters.
The twins "chose not to do necklaces," says Anthony Camargo of Anthony Nak. Barbara called her Nak earrings "little masterpieces."
To complement her silver-blue gown, the First Lady wore 1930s aquamarine earrings and necklace from Fred Leighton.
DAY: Barbara had a cotton Derek Lam trench remade in cashmere.
NIGHT: Her silk chiffon Badgley Mischka was "sophisticated and feminine," says Badgley.
DAY: Jenna chose Lela Rose's detailed coat, ivory shell and pants (!)
NIGHT: Her emerald silk crepe Badgley Mischka gown "is great for her skin color," says Badgley.
DAY: Laura went white in Oscar de la Renta's suit and cashmere coat.
NIGHT: Oscar again, this time in an ice-blue embroidered gown she paired with a Judith Leiber bag.
