Down This Road

Adam and Shannon Wright are a married couple who make beautiful country music together, with Adam's guitar and smooth voice nicely complementing Shannon's expressive, rhythmically enticing vocals, which are reminiscent of Loretta Lynn. Their smart, tuneful songs on this auspicious debut are traditional, touching on repeated heartbreak ("Down This Road"), troubled relationships ("On the Rocks") and even their home state ("You're in Georgia Now," another memorable musical tribute to the Peach State). Adam's uncle Alan Jackson sings backup on the gospel-inflected "Leave a Light On," making this even more of a family affair.
