I read your article about the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes love tryst and there's no doubt this is for real. Tom has always been honest and forthright. He's a man of strong personal integrity and conviction. It's no wonder Katie loves him.
It's great having someone to share your life. If Tom and Katie have found love, more power to them. As Tom stated, "Anyone who's not happy for me, they're just not invited to the party."
I don't understand why people feel Tom and Katie aren't genuine. You can't fake being that happy; it's infectious. We should all be so lucky!
I saw Tom on Oprah and could hardly believe how immature this 42-year-old man acted. He and Katie barely know each other. They're just in lust with each other, not in love. What on earth could she have that Nicole Kidman and Penélope Cruz don't?

Maybe it's love and all is just ducky, but it walks and quacks like a midlife crisis.
Run, Katie, run! This nice Catholic girl from the Midwest deserves better. Given the hype over their couple-dom, I'm sure the filmmakers of their upcoming movies have two words on their minds: Bennifer and Gigli.
MAD ABOUT LETOURNEAU
Shame on PEOPLE for giving adulterous child predator Mary Kay Letourneau the opportunity to display her wedding in your magazine. As a former sixth-grade teacher, I'm outraged. How dare a teacher, who selfishly abandons her four children and rapes 12-year-old Vili Fualaau, get as much press as she has. The only refreshing aspect of the article was that her own mother and four of her five siblings didn't attend the ceremony. At least her family has a clue.
West Chester, Pa.
Are you trying to legitimize rape? You wrote in your article that Mary Kay married the "boy-turned-man of her dreams" and "the ex-pupil she first bedded when he was 12." It's evident how you have turned evil into good.
Agoura Hills, Calif.
Mary Kay didn't seek out other little boys to molest. A rational person must concede that something other than sex is going on here. Evidently, there is a bond between these two that they say is true love. They've committed themselves through marriage and want to raise their children and be a family.
Paula M. Painter
It's obvious that the only stupid, smelly or cootied boy in your article "Guy Trouble" is Todd Goldman, the creator of this moronic, boy-bashing clothing line. We agree if this clothing line was geared toward girls, Goldman would surely be out of business. Isn't there enough negativity in the world?

My 9-year-old daughter has been a fan ever since I bought her first "Boys Are Smelly" T-shirt. As for the shirts being derogatory to boys, both my husband and son think they're funny. Goldman's critics need to lighten up.

Thanks so much for your feature about African-American children being adopted by European and Canadian families. Why many individuals are so intent on adopting blue-eyed blond children is beyond me. I hope the United States reconsiders its efforts to change the regulations. For some of us, it's the only chance we have to become parents.
White Americans who go overseas to adopt before they look in their own backyard support the fact that even the most vulnerable blacks in our society are held in low regard. We should be ashamed that we're exporting our infants while at the same time trying to get kids from abroad.
