LINDSAY'S MEXICAN RETREAT
On June 9 Lindsay Lohan hopped a private jet and headed to Mexico for a four-day bash to celebrate the 34th birthday of her close pal, L.A.-based party promoter Allison Melnick. The revelers, including Nick Stahl (Carnivále) and 10 industry pals, stayed at Joe Francis's palatial beach home (complete with three pools) in Punta de Mita, Mexico. Happy to get a chance to unwind before heading out on her Herbie: Fully Loaded press tour, Lohan dished with pals about the recent MTV Movie Awards and told her favorite jokes. The fitness-conscious Lohan diligently did cardio and practiced yoga on the lawn but also ate plenty of ice cream and was pampered by the resort's staff with poolside massages. Not entirely abandoning their club hopping ways, the whole group of friends hit the VIP section of Puerta Vallarta hot spot Christine's before flying back to Van Nuys, Calif., on June 12.

JAKE AND KIRSTEN: AGAIN?
Jake Gyllenhaal and Kirsten Dunst split up a year ago, but they looked cozy last week in L.A.: close-dancing at Mood June 8, bowling—and smooching!—June 9, and lip-locking again June 10 at Amanda Scheer Demme's Tropicana Bar. According to his rep, "they're not back together, but they remain friends."

PERRY AND DUNN: SPLIT!
Matthew Perry and Rachel Dunn, his girlfriend of the past two years, have called it quits. According to a source close to the couple, "there was no drama involved, just a commitment by Matthew to stay focused on his sobriety." (Perry has battled addictions to alcohol and prescription painkillers.) Dunn moved to L.A. last year to be close to the former Friend, but within weeks returned to N.Y.C., where she now works at nightclub Lotus. Perry's rep declined comment.

PROMISING PREVIEW FOR NICOLE
Nicole Richie's album is only 80 percent finished, but it's already generating buzz. "She's really talented," says a source who's heard some of the pop tracks. In fact, Nicole, whose dad is Grammy winner Lionel Richie, sings, plays cello and piano and cowrote a few tunes on the as-yet-untitled project. "She's got a great voice. Some of the music reminds me of Prince," says songwriter-producer Greg Kurstin, who collaborated with the bride-to-be. No release date has been set.

SEA OF LOVE
Titanic star Billy Zane stages a remake of From Here to Eternity during a public make-out session in Fiji with girlfriend Kelly Brook. The Brit pin-up girl is there hosting the British reality show Celebrity Love Island, which places stars in exotic locales in the hopes of a hookup.
