Scott Hamilton wasn't sure he could ever be a dad. So when his wife, Tracie, broke the big news just 17 days after their wedding last December—and six years after Hamilton underwent treatment for testicular cancer that he feared might impair his fertility—the Olympic skating gold medalist went into a bit of a spin. "I took the bag the pregnancy test came in," he recalls, "and put it right over my mouth. I was hyperventilating." Fortunately Hamilton, 45, regained his footing by the time 7-lb. 9-oz. Aidan McIntosh arrived on Sept. 16 at a hospital near the Hamiltons' Westlake Village, Calif., home. Throughout the 13-hour labor, says Tracie, 33, a former nutritionist who met Hamilton at a Memphis ice show in 2000, "Scott was by my side. I couldn't ask for a better husband." As for the sleep-deprived but smitten dad, now in Simsbury, Conn., to produce the upcoming Smucker's Stars on Ice tour, he has some advice for his lookalike son: "You'll lose your hair," he says. "But no comb-overs. By then, they'll have a cure for it anyway."
