With his role as a gentle giant in the new Tim Burton fantasy Big Fish, McGrory, 30, is now taking some big steps in Hollywood. The Westchester, Pa., native weighed 15 lbs. when he was born to 5'6" homemaker Maureen and 5'10" accountant George ("No one knows why I'm so big," says McGrory). He dropped out of law school in 1998 to pursue acting, quickly landing parts in such films as Men in Black II and TV gigs on Malcolm in the Middle and Charmed. Finding love, however, has been harder: "I've gone on dates with women who seem a bit too interested in, uh..." His enormous feet? "Yeah, that's one way of putting it," says McGrory. Still, "I can't think of any downside to being tall." Well, maybe one: "Having to go to the tailor constantly."
