HOMETOWN: New York City
BRAND-NEW BAG: The fashion photographer turned designer made herself a purse that stars got carried away with.
"Being a New Yorker, you're on the go," says the Brooklyn-born Botkier. "You go to the deli and there are five people behind you, and you're scrambling, 'Where's my wallet?' and your cell phone is ringing—it drove me crazy. I wanted a filing system you could carry with you and look great." So the former full-time fashion photog (for the likes of Marie Claire and Seventeen) took a shot at designing a carryall, and it "got a lot of attention with models and editors. Suddenly they'd go, 'Well, I want one.' " One year later her Trigger bags are dangling from the arms of Sarah Jessica Parker and Brittany Murphy. The name "just felt right," says Botkier. "It triggered a new career. It's corny, but it makes me happy."
Small leather Trigger bag, $410. Also available in medium and large in canvas and leather, $285-$495; www.botkier.com

These beauties decided to go with the flow in Dolce & Gabbana's silk baby-doll dress with a flower appliqué. The frock comes with a peekaboo bra—with such a teeny tog, every little bit of fabric counts.
Jeans of the Week
KEY FEATURE: Diagonal darting on the back pockets gives derrieres a lift.
THE BIG DEAL
Celebs are getting their rears in gear with James's special stitching and asymmetrical pockets, which create the illusion of a sleeker backside. A subtle dark rinse on the inner thigh area makes thighs and hips looks smaller.
Barneys L.A. sold 1,100 pairs of the new figure-flattering jeans within a week.
Julianne Moore bought a pair, then called the James folks for four more. Katie Holmes and Lindsay Lohan get a rise out of them too.

Behind the Seams
Who needs an Alias when you look this good in person? Jennifer Garner, freshly fringed with bangs, really packs a punch in Louis Verdad's silk cocktail dress at an Alzheimer's Association benefit in Beverly Hills.
CHAIN GANG: Jennifer Aniston is in love (and not just with Brad Pitt)—the Friends star is enamored of her M² Design Int. "Love" necklace. She wore it to a recent taping of the Tonight Show and has been seen out and about sporting the sentiment. Several stars have donned the phrase chains: Newlywed and newly mellowed Mary J. Blige has "Happiness," Winona Ryder bought "Believe," and Tom Cruise snagged "Love" for, one assumes, his love Penélope Cruz—who was seen wearing it the next day. Now that's a man of his word....
M² Design Int. 14-karat gold and diamond "Love" necklace, $250; Fred Segal Tiara, 310-394-8186.
OUT, DAMNED SPOT!: How exactly does one remove red wine from a $1.5 million dress made with more than 500 carats of diamonds? Designer Randi Rahm knows, thanks to Vivica A. Fox, who wore it to an Oscar party and—oops!—got a little grape on the gown. No biggie. Rahm is removing the diamonds, tossing the stained silk and will make Fox a replacement dress with beading instead. "I got a beautiful Hollywood star who looked breathtaking in the dress," says Rahm. "I'm not upset at all, it's all part of the deal!" Party on....
Vivica A. Fox in the $1.5 million Rahm gown.
YOU'RE WINSOME, YOU LOSE SOME: Uma Thurman was so taken with the gold and gemstone Patricia Hurley earrings she wore on the set of her new comedy Be Cool, she wore them out one weekend and lost one. Pat's peeps rushed a replacement to the set in time for filming Monday morning. Good thing everyone kept their Cool....
Patricia Hurley earrings, $1,350; Jennifer Kaufman, 310-854-1058.
LOYAL FOLLOWING: Not sure what made Mona Lisa Smile, but we know one thing that made Kirsten Dunst happy on the film's set—her Chantecaille makeup and skincare line. The actress is such a fan of the botanical-based goodies, which substitute flower water and waxes for harsher chemicals, that she requested they be used on her next movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and all other upcoming projects. What a petal pusher.
