Trendy bling has come to the shoe department. Designers are using jewels to create haute-heel couture.
PRETTY PENNY Wearing diamonds (even faux diamonds) on your shoes doesn't come cheap. Eve's gladiator sandals are valued at $1,390, and Lake Bell's Swarovski-crystal heels run $990. (Footnote: You can still enjoy the pitter-patter of shiny feet—affordable, and less blinding, versions are available.)
Behind the Seams
Her new film is Taking Lives, but her new fashion MO is taking risks. The usually covered-up Angelina Jolie bared her legs in a silk Celine tunic with gold Michael Kors pumps at the film's L.A. premiere.
SISTER ACT: Is there no medium these two can't tackle? Nicky Hilton designs handbags and her big sis Paris is a model, TV star and movie actress. Well, go ahead and add jewelry designers to the growing list. The pair recently visited the South of France, where they found a cross similar to the one worn by their maternal grandmother. They decided to re-create it in sterling silver with cubic zirconia stones, available in several colors. Next on deck? More jewelry, perfume and scented candles....

NO FREE LUNCH: Or clothing, even if the company is sponsoring your album launch tour. While in Manhattan to promote his new album, Confessions, Usher hit the Girbaud flagship store and spent $10,000 on their European collection including a $3,500 leather jacket and $400 cargo pants. He paid full price—even though Girbaud is sponsoring his launch tour. No star treatment here....
SLIP INTO SOMETHING COMFORTABLE: While filming Miss Congeniality 2, Sandra Bullock felt so good in the Little Joe by Gail Elliott apricot slip she wears in the film that she ordered one, and the same-color camisole version, for herself. It's a hit with lots of Misses—Naomi Watts bought one too....
Little Joe by Gail Elliott silk slip, $170; 800-HBENDEL.
REALITY FASHION SHOW: The Bachelorette's Ian McKee and Meredith Phillips strutted their stuff for Tommy Hilfiger's newly launched high-end line H Hilfiger (prices range from $55-$595) at Macy's in New York City and then cozied up at the celeb-filled afterparty at Marquee. The lovebirds, who will model in four other H Hilfiger shows, even kissed on the catwalk. "I was pretty nervous," says McKee of his first modeling gig. "The fact that we were walking together made it easy."

HAVE A HEART
We've heard of wearing your heart on your sleeve, but BAT(h)QOL's new line of leather-patch heart tops will leave you a lot less vulnerable. The cotton tees, purchased by Renée Zellweger and Cameron Diaz, also come with leather peace symbols, crosses (Cher has one) and a star—which Britney Spears bought.

"Everything I tried on for [the Soul Train Music Awards], I wasn't liking," says the actress, who wore this Gucci poncho to Janet Jackson's Damita Jo afterparty. "I had the poncho in the mix, and I thought it would be cooler as a dress." All it took was a few eye-hook closures and good fortune. "Luckily I have gotten small enough that I could get it to cover me up entirely."
Christina Aguilera introduced a sexy new—dare we say normal?—look on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "I was doing the whole black hairdo thing, and it's just time for a change," she told DeGeneres of her reddish locks. "I change my look a lot, from the hair to the dress to the style. This is what I'm feeling right now." Let's hope the feeling lasts.
