The Return of the Perm?
If curly hair is back, can the perm be far behind? Manhattan stylist Hiro Haraguchi uses ammonia-free solutions, rich conditioners and wide, flexible rollers for gentler waves that last up to six months ($350, hirohara guchi.com).

Why We Love...
...Stila's Fiercely Feminine Collection eye-cheek palettes: Because their packaging is so much fun. Faux-leather cases look like wallets. Sage, Auburn, Taupe and Plum, $30 each; stilacosmetics.com.

Red-Hot Trend
The little black dress of nail color, red, is back in a big way. "You can't go wrong with a classic red," says Bliss Spa founder Marcia Kilgore. "It's superfeminine and flirty," the perfect complement for this season's ladylike silhouettes.

Chanel Ruby Slipper, $17; gloss.com.

Cover Girl Cherry Brandy, $2.99; drugstores.

Nars Jungle Red, $15; sephora.com.

Sephora No. 9, $4; sephora.com.

OPI Red, $7.50; opi.com.

Peptide Rally
The war on wrinkles has gone scientific as manufacturers infuse face creams with copper peptides, which doctors have used to aid in wound healing. The new formulas may help reduce the appearance of fine lines by stimulating collagen growth, and their anti-inflammatory properties can also help protect skin against daily wear and tear.

1 Olay Regenerist Enhancing Lotion with UV Protection, $18.99, regenerist.com.

2 Murad Resurgence Age-Diffusing Serum, $60, 800-33-MURAD.

3 SkinCeuticals Eye Cream, $55, 800-811-1660.

4 Dr. Perricone's Neuropeptide Facial Conformer, $570, nvperriconemd.com.

5 Molton Brown Night Reprieve Restoring Lift, $44, sephora.com.

6 Neutrogena Visibly Firm Eye Cream, $18.99, drugstores.

The Fastest Blow-Dry

What it is: HairArt's new T3 tourmaline blow-dryer ($200; T3tourmaline.com). Sure, it's pricier than drugstore dryers, but it uses negative ions (which neutralize hair's positive charge) and infrared heat for a sleek, no-frizz look.

Why it's hot: The T3 was a fave of stylists at the spring fashion shows, where speed is crucial. And on the Will & Grace set, "it dries at least 75 percent faster then any dryer I've used," says Debra Messing's stylist, Luke O'Connor of Beverly Hills' Lukaro Salon. "I dry Debra's hair in 10-12 minutes."

Stars who love it: Britney Spears, Tyra Banks
