...keep your hemline below the knee
"I'm kind of obsessed with midcalf right now. It looks good with flats or heels."

...think black
But try to accessorize with color. "Carry a red bag or wear a turquoise pair of shoes. That's a way to keep it modern for fall."

...wear pumps
"A pump is the shoe of the season. You can't go wrong."

...get pearls
"At this point, anyone can afford them, because you can't tell that much if they're real or they're fake. Wear a long strand and wrap them around your neck a couple of times. When you go with pearls, keep your earrings small."

...tuck in your shirt
"If you're wearing a pencil skirt, which is a very key piece for the season, tuck it in. It's very chic and it accentuates your waist."

...wear a thong
"The most unattractive thing is panty lines. There's nothing worse than that."

...layer
"No more midriff. Those days are over."

...overdress
"Throw on your heels, carry a fabulous little bag. No one's ever going to look at you and say, 'Oh my God, what was she thinking?' Whereas if you're underdressed, you insult people sometimes."

...button the middle button of your blazer
"Generally, don't do the bottom one. It hugs your midriff. The middle one accentuates the waistline. If there are a lot of buttons, do the middle two."
