Spice Girls Ready to Make 'Headlines' With New Single | Geri Halliwell
Their comeback single is ready, and the Spice Girls are betting it makes "Headlines."

Set for a Nov. 19 release, the track "Headlines" will be a "Spice Girls classic " Geri Halliwell a.k.a. Ginger Spice, says.

The band collaborated with their original writers creating, Halliwell says, a bit of a throw-back sound. "It feels like taking a little bit of the past. You feel that flavor but then it's moving on," the 35-year-old told Britain's GMTV Friday. "The other girls chipped in later, adding lyrics. It's magical."

Halliwell revealed that she and Bunton a.k.a. Baby Spice – who recently gave birth to her own baby – started work on the single last spring.

"Before we'd even got the final yes from everyone, we kind of started putting words down," she said.

In June, the British girl band announced their plans to do a world tour. It will be the first time the entire group performs together since Halliwell quit nine years ago, citing "differences."

And the Spice Girls haven't lost their hometown appeal: Tickets to the group's London reunion show sold out in 38 seconds, and three dates have been subsequently added to the tour.
