Singer Kylie Minogue dazzled on Tuesday night as she showcased her new movie, White Diamonds, that captures the behind-the-scenes of her comeback from breast cancer.

The film tells the tale of her rescheduled worldwide Showgirls tour, which had to be postponed after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Australian singer, beaming on the red carpet, said the film was a "thank you" to the fans for their support and described it as "documentary and a body movie, a road movie and a behind the scenes movie."

The singer, who shimmered in a Dolce and Gabbana gown on Tuesday, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. She underwent surgery in her birthplace of Melbourne, Australia, and continued with treatment in France, near the Parisian home of her then-boyfriend, actor Olivier Martinez, 41. The couple split in February this year.

She said good wishes from her fans were a motivating factor through her fight against the cancer. "So many people kept their tickets for a year and a half, and that gave me so much inspiration."

Minogue, 39, said in the Vue Cinema in London's West End that the project was "homemade in many ways" and it started as "quite a humble little project and in many ways it still is."

Her sister Dannii, 35, added that, of course, there were times when Kylie was not "focused on her career at all" but once she started back to work, she saw the "sparkle back in her eye."
