Jessica Seinfeld, wife of Jerry, has a new cookbook out, Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food, and it's selling like hot cakes. HarperCollins is struggling to keep up with demand – it's has ordered 2.3 million copies, according to the Wall Street Journal, and expects to sell at least 1 million by Christmas.
There's been some grousing that Deceptively Delicious bears some resemblance to another book, The Sneaky Chef, by Missy Chase Lapine. The New York Daily News reports that it's possible Seinfeld is using Lapine's leftovers, but Seinfeld tells the Journal that's nothing more than a coincidence.
"I've never held that book in my hands, and I swear that on my life," she says.
