The food is healthy, and the sales are even healthier.
Jessica Seinfeld, wife of Jerry, has a new cookbook out, Deceptively Delicious: Simple Secrets to Get Your Kids Eating Good Food
, and it's selling like hot cakes. HarperCollins is struggling to keep up with demand – it's has ordered 2.3 million copies, according to the Wall Street Journal
, and expects to sell at least 1 million by Christmas.
There's been some grousing that Deceptively Delicious
bears some resemblance to another book, The Sneaky Chef
, by Missy Chase Lapine. The New York Daily News
reports that it's possible Seinfeld is using Lapine's leftovers, but Seinfeld tells the Journal
that's nothing more than a coincidence.
"I've never held that book in my hands, and I swear that on my life," she says. —Tim Nudd
