Hollywood has been enamored of David Beckham since his arrival in L.A. in July. Now, they get to take a crack at him on the soccer field.
On Nov. 4, Beckham and the Galaxy will take on "Hollywood United FC" – a team comprised of actors Anthony LaPaglia, Jimmy Jean-Louis and Costas Mandylor, as well as several former World Cup players – in a friendly fund-raiser match to benefit those affected by the wildfires in Southern California, the Associated Press reports.
"Our players are residents of Southern California," said Galaxy general manager Alexi Lalas. "This is a great way through soccer for us to bring some attention and, most importantly, raise some money. And, in the process, give the people another opportunity to see the stars we have here with the Galaxy."
