On Jan. 3, Scottish funnyman Craig Ferguson hit his one-year mark as host of CBS' Late Late Show. Since his takeover, ratings have enjoyed a hike. Now put that in your bagpipe and smoke it.

ON WHAT HE HAS LEARNED I used to psych myself up before the show and now I do the complete opposite: I psych myself down. It's 12:30 at night, you don't want some guy yelling at you. You want some guy just talking to you.

ON WORST MOMENT OF 2005 Audience doughnut Jenga. It was so lame.

ON WEARING A TIE I don't do that anymore. You don't need to wear a tie at that time of night, unless you're working as a doorman. —ALEXIS CHIU
