Beyoncé heads a diva-licious lineup at the American Music Awards this weekend.

The "special appearance" by the triple-nominated singer will be accompanied by performances by Celine Dion and Alicia Keys – who both had albums drop this week.

Other acts set to take the stage at L.A.'s new Nokia Theater (with a live broadcast by ABC) are Carrie Underwood, Mary J. Blige, Rascal Flatts, Chris Brown, Duran Duran, Rihanna, and will.i.am.

Tied with Beyoncé for most nominations with three each are Justin Timberlake, Daughtry and Linkin Park. Underwood has two.

Jimmy Kimmel, while taking a writers strike-induced break from his late-night show, will host for the second year in a row, his fourth go-round in total.

This year's winners were selected by the fans, in a first time online vote from a list of nominees.

"The internet allows us a way to bring millions of potential voters into the voting process," says Terry Bateman, CEO of Dick Clark Productions (the show's producers), "Now instead of limiting the voting to thousands of people, millions of people will have the opportunity to vote."
