The talk host, 49, has a buyer for her $24 million, four-acre Montecito estate in Santa Barbara County, according to the Wall Street Journal, which also says she has purchased a furnished home in Beverly Hills.
DeGeneres paid $15.75 million for the Montecito retreat 14 months ago and then improved the property, which encompasses a 1926 Mediterranean-style house, a swimming pool, two guesthouses and a tennis court, the newspaper reports.
The Beverly Hills residence, which is about 6,000 square feet (and sits on 1.75 acres of land), formerly belonged to Will & Grace co-creator Max Mutchnick, who knew DeGeneres from his sitcom. She had once guest-starred as a nun who bought a used car from Grace (Debra Messing).
Mutchnick, 42, paid $5.8 million for the property in 2004, renovated extensively, and is selling it to DeGeneres with much of the furnishings and art intact, says the Journal.
