BETTY'S BENEFIT BRUNCH
cast members AMERICA FERRERA, REBECCA ROMIJN
and MICHAEL URIE got together for a pretty good cause—a fund-raiser for the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. "I'm someone who realized my own dream," says Ferrera, who hosted the Sept. 30 event. "If that helps get attention for this wonderful place, then I'm happy to help." And though they may have been a world away from Mode
magazine, good fashion sense still prevailed: "I brought flats along in my purse!" Romijn told Insider as she kicked off her heels and lunched on the lawn of the Beverly Hills estate. Among the 800 guests were T.R. KNIGHT and DAVID SCHWIMMER.
UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN
What did talk show host and culinary star RACHAEL RAY
cook up for her second wedding anniversary with JOHN CUSIMANO? A visit to the Castello di Velona Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy, where the pair were married in 2005. "I get to celebrate my anniversary, and both our families come together," she says. On Sept. 22 about 50 guests enjoyed ricotta-cheese cannelloni and sucking-pig porchetta, neither of which Ray whipped up. "In Italy, you leave it to the masters!"
The plot for Sex and the City: The Movie
is top secret, but Mario Cantone at Wheel of Fortune's
25th-anniversary party in N.Y.C. dished about his new costar: "[JENNIFER HUDSON] is adorable. She doesn't try to [say], 'I got my Oscar; get outta my way.' She's not like that."
Here's hoping Brooke shields's husband, Chris Henchy, wants a third child. "I may have to bind and gag him, but if I can, I'll do it," she told Insider
at a Sebeka wines dinner Sept. 26 in N.Y.C.
"It's a lovefest," says PATRICIA ARQUETTE of daughter Harlow, 4, and her cousin Coco, 3 (Mom and Dad are Courteney Cox Arquette
and David Arquette), at the Santa Monica Kinerase benefit for EB, a rare skin disorder, Sept. 29. "Coco said Harlow is her best friend."
