KATE WALSH can cross hit TV show and new husband off her birthday wish list. But that doesn't mean she wasn't up for fun. The Private Practice star spent Oct. 13 at the Kate Somerville skin clinic in L.A. for some pre-party pampering and then later that night was joined by her former Grey's Anatomy costars SARA RAMIREZ, JUSTIN CHAMBERS, SANDRA OH and current castmate TAYE DIGGS at a birthday blowout (planned by Walsh's husband, ALEX YOUNG) at Hollywood hot spot Parc. Guests—who each received buttons featuring a photo of a young Walsh (inset)—nibbled on crab cakes and mini pizzas before hitting the dance floor until 2 a.m. "She was totally thrilled," says a source. "She danced all night."
On Oct. 14 Heroes castmates showed off a very special power: reading. HAYDEN PANETTIERE, MASI OKA and ZACHARY QUINTO led story time for almost 700 children at Milk and Bookies, a charity book drive in L.A. "I was obsessed with Maurice Sendak as a kid," said Quinto (a.k.a. Sylar), who read one of the author's works. Panettiere charmed the audience with Sassafras: The True Confessions of a Poodle Princess, telling Insider, "I'm [happy] to be here doing something to help other people."
EVA MENDES explained her rumored baby bump in a recent photograph: "I had a huge pasta lunch," the We Own the Night star told Insider at an Oct. 11 party for Gotham magazine. "I let it all hang out!"
She's on Broadway now, but maybe JENNIFER GARNER should head to the Met. "She can sing—in an opera style!" Garner's former Alias costar Melissa George told Insider at the Elle Women in Hollywood event. "She's got a trained voice. It's the best you'll hear."
Was it too good to be true when HEIDI MONTAG posted an online confession that she and fiancé SPENCER PRATT started the Lauren Conrad sex-tape rumors? Yup. "My site was hacked," Montag said at a Taco Bell World Hunger Relief event on Oct. 16. Adds Pratt: "I don't think Heidi even knows how to log in."
