"Hats off to Faith Hill
and her husband, Tim McGraw
, for staying grounded and in love"
I couldn't wait to read your article on Faith Hill
, and you did not disappoint me. Having seen Mrs. McGraw perform live dozens of times, I can tell you that she could sing my grocery list and I would be knocked out. It is heartwarming to read that she cherishes the gift she has been given: her family. She is an inspiration.
is not a mean-spirited woman. She's open about her age, her wrinkles and body, and she shares her husband with millions of drooling women—as long as we keep it within reason, ladies! She deserves applause and not criticism. Celebrities like Faith are hard to come by.
I'm sorry, but I still don't buy Faith Hill
's excuse that she was just being "goofy" after mouthing an incredulous "what?" when Carrie Underwood
won Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMA awards. Faith wanted that award and felt she deserved it. And when a talented, beautiful newcomer walked away with it, Ms. Hill just couldn't take it. She's nothing but a sore loser.
has always been an outstanding role model for women. She displays class, kindness and good old-fashioned country-girl humor. While some people think she was a sore loser at the CMAs, and don't believe Faith was just trying to be funny, I saw nothing but playfulness. I'm sure that fellow country girl Carrie Underwood
thought it was funny too.
In your article on Katie Holmes
, you stated that Tom Cruise
often "babysat" Suri. Really? Since when do parents babysit their own children? Had the roles been reversed, would you have said that Katie was babysitting Suri? I doubt it. Dads everywhere are working hard to share parenting duties with their wives. Please give them credit and don't reduce them to mere babysitters.

I'm sorry that Dorothy Hamill's ex-husband is not feeling remorseful about his past affairs. Dr. Kenneth Forsythe could have said something kind about Dorothy instead of "I'm sorry Dorothy still finds it necessary to bring up negative things." I can see why she calls her first husband the love of her life. I'm thankful she has her daughter to keep her strong.
HEATHER LOCKLEARHeather Locklear
shows her emotional strength in being able to move forward after her divorce from Richie Sambora in such a gracious manner. The fact that she remains on friendly terms with him for their daughter's sake shows how grounded she really is.

Our story about the increased rate of concussions in high school football directly helped some readers. "My 14-year-old son had been hit several times in the head during a recent game," writes Kristi Zieger of Yakima, Wash. "Later, his speech was slurred and he complained of headaches. Because of your article, we knew something wasn't right and took him to a hospital, where he was diagnosed with a possible concussion." Others applauded the passage of "Will's Bill." "Every coach should undergo first-aid training," writes Michelle Duquette. "I was elated to see Texas pass the legislation that requires learning steps like CPR and how to make a 911 call." Contact sports aren't the only source of head trauma among kids. "We estimate that as many as 3.8 million sports- and recreation-related concussions occur in the U.S. each year," says Ileana Arias of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "We have kits with information to help parents if they suspect their child has had a concussion."
