Having been much delayed, 50 Cent's third disc (which takes its title from the rapper's real name, Curtis Jackson) did not have good buzz. But while the new CD will hardly make you forget Fiddy's multiplatinum 2003 debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin', it's easily on par with his last album, 2005's The Massacre. Curtis lacks a killer single like "In Da Club" and boasts few surprises either musically or lyrically—he still loves his guns, girls and money—but it delivers on quality cuts that bank on good beats, guests like Justin Timberlake and 50's considerable star power.
