Chuck
NBC, 8 p.m. ET |
ACTION COMEDY
A computer geek (Zachary Levi) opens an e-mail from a friend—a renegade spy—and his brain subliminally downloads a huge and dangerous archive of top-secret material. He is now, in a sense, classified material himself, a pawn and a player in the realm of espionage. Ah, but what is espionage if not a metaphor for carnal knowledge? Chuck is introduced to an excitingly unpredictable new life and partnered with a beautiful woman from the CIA named Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski). It's The 40-Year-Old Virgin rewritten by Ian Fleming. The better joke here is how the spies, in turn, are forced to geek it up to play along with Chuck.
