Amy Sedaris's Carnival Cameo in the New Dolly Parton Video

After whetting their appetites watching Dolly Parton perform her new single, "Better Get to Livin'," at last week's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, fans are chomping at the bit to watch the music video premiere on CMT's Top 20 Countdown this Thursday.

The circus-themed mini-movie, which was shot in October in Tennessee, and features, get this, Strangers with Candy's Amy Sedaris (!) in three roles – a circus barker, a woman "green with envy" and a cross-eyed psychic – and is already making its way around the Internet.

How'd the seemingly unlikely combination of country-singing goddess and cult-fave New York satirist come about? Sedaris says she just "got a call" and is happy to have hung out with the living legend. "She was great and it was really neat to meet her."
