• Keira Knightley, braving the snowy New York weather while out for a walk in SoHo with beau Rupert Friend. The next night, the couple, in hip attire, cozied up to each other at a Chanel Beauté dinner at New York eatery Balthazar to celebrate the actress's film Atonement. A source at the party tells us that Friend kept his arm around his girlfriend all night, adding that they were "very sweet together."

• Eva Longoria, throwing a holiday spa party for six girlfriends at the new Polished Nail Lounge at the Cornelia Day Resort in New York. The Desperate Housewives star opted for "deep Merlot" colored nails and, appropriately, sipped some Merlot during the treatment. The crowd eventually ended up in the Meatpacking District, at Los Dados for Mexican food and some strawberry guava margaritas, and they capped off the evening with some dancing at nearby Tenjune.

• John Mayer, stepping out for dinner with Minka Kelly at New York's Waverly Inn. There with some pals, the singer seemed frustrated by the 30-minute-plus wait for a table, an onlooker reports. But the restaurant accommodated Mayer and his friends, moving them from a round table in the main dining room to a more private spot in the back before their meals arrived.

• Jenny McCarthy, hanging out with her dad and some friends at a VIP table at Las Vegas's Moon Nightclub. She wasn't just clubbing: McCarthy stayed overnight at the fantasy tower at the Palms.

• Kate Walsh, stopping into Kate Somerville Skin Clinic in Los Angeles for a treatment. Recently back from a Maui vacation, the Private Practice star looked relaxed and gorgeous with no make-up on as she chatted with the employees before dashing out the back entrance of the clinic with a bag of goodies.
