Charges were dropped against Jonathan Rhys Meyers on Wednesday after the actor apologized for his drunken confrontation at a Dublin Airport earlier this month.

Rhys Meyers's lawyer, Michael Staines, said the Tudors star's behavior on Nov. 18 was "unacceptable and out of character" and that Rhys Meyers "unreservedly apologizes" to the authorities and staff at British airline BMI, the Associated Press reports.

The actor's arrest came just days before reports surfaced that his mother died. Rhys Meyers also did a stint in rehab earlier this year.
