Dr. Adams Ordered to Pay $100k in Malpractice Suit

Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who worked on Kanye West's mother before her death last month, has been ordered to pay more than $100,000 in a separate malpractice suit.

Lawyers for Adams appeared in a Los Angeles court Tuesday for both parties to come to an agreement on the exact amount he'd pay.

"We came to a resolution. My client is happy that we came up to something, some financial amount so that this can be resolved," said Bob Nehornay, a lawyer for plaintiff Lori Ufondu, who claimed Adams left a sponge inside her during a surgery in 1996.
