When it comes to John Hancocks, Johnny Depp's the man.

"Though soft-spoken and laid-back, he likes to talk to fans and get to know them while signing," New York autograph dealer Anthony Risi says of the Sweeney Todd Golden Globe nominee, 44, in the December issue of Autograph magazine, for its annual list of the "10 Best and 10 Worst Hollywood Signers."

"He'll sign more than one item when he has time, too," Risi says of the No. 1-ranked Depp. Following, in descending order when it comes to cooperative stars: George Clooney, Jack Nicholson, Rosario Dawson, John Travolta, Katherine Heigl, Jay Leno, Dakota Fanning and, in a surprising turn (given his past reputation for tantrum – and phone throwing – Russell Crowe.

And the worst when it comes to giving autographs? Again, in order, according to the publication, which adds, "not that they're bad people": Will Ferrell, Tobey Maguire, Joaquin Phoenix, William Shatner, Renée Zellweger, John Malkovich, Julie Andrews, Bruce Willis, Teri Hatcher and Scarlett Johansson.
