Caught in the Act!

• Fergie, touching down in Perth, Australia –and still looking stylish after her flight. The pop star is currently touring Down Under as the opening act for the Police.

• John Mayer, running into Avril Lavigne (and her husband Deryck Whibley) while dining at Prime 112 in Miami. The two spoke briefly at the restaurant – then they ran into each other again at The Florida Room in the Delano Hotel, where everyone enjoyed some cocktails. An onlooker tells us that Mayer was just "taking in the scene."

• A slim Katie Holmes, hitting up Joan's on Third in Los Angeles for lunch with a gal pal. According to an onlooker, the actress, sporting black skinny jeans, wore no makeup to lunch. Says the onlooker: "She ordered meatloaf but didn't eat too much of it." She did eat all her salad, though.

• Katherine Heigl, framing some contemporary art from her personal collection at FastFrame in Woodland Hills, Calif. "She was very pleasant, friendly and just a pleasure to work with," a designer at the store tells us of the Grey's Anatomy star's visit.

• A trench coat-donning Michael Jackson(and his children), taking in comedian-ventriloquist Ronn Lucas's show inside the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. The children did not shield their faces, but wore baseball hats for the occasion. Surprisingly, Jackson and his group of seven entered the hotel through the front door – not secret entrances like he loves to do.
