Heartland rocker John Mellencamp has a special message to Republican front-runner John McCain this Super Tuesday: Stop playing my songs!

According to Rolling Stone, the GOP presidential candidate has been blasting Mellencamp's crowd-pleasing anthems "Our Country" and "Pink Houses" during recent campaign stops.

But Mellencamp is a die hard Democrat, who had pledged his support to blue-collar favorite John Edwards's now derailed presidential bid.

Although the singer – a 2008 inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – has not commented publicly, the music mag reports that his reps have quietly asked McCain to stop using the music.

A campaign spokesperson did not immediately respond to request for comment.
