VIDEO: Spice Girls Apologize for Tour's Early End
Originally posted Tuesday February 05, 2008 04:50 PM EST
Following a notice on their Web site that they would curtail their current tour early, the Spice Girls recorded a video message to explain their actions to their fans.
"We want you to hear it from the horse's mouth," says Melanie Chisolm in the clip. "We're really sorry we've been unable to get to all the places we want."
The reunion tour will conclude at the end of February due to "family and personal commitments" for Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria Beckham, read the online statement. The high demand for tickets in the U.K. and the U.S. made it "not possible to fit everything in," including stops in Europe and Asia, they said.
"Sorry we haven't got to see everybody," chimes in Beckham. "We had a great time."
