Amy Adams

Enchanted star Amy Adams, cracking her fortune cookie after lunching at New York's Tao. So, what was the message? According to a source, Adams beamed as she read: "Smile if you got lucky last night." Eating with some friends, Adams indulged in chicken pad thai and espresso (Adams had two!), among other dishes.

Kristin Cavallari, partying with four girlfriends at Villa in West Hollywood. The giggly group was all drinking and mixing their own cocktails, though Cavallari's friends were more in the party spirit than she was. Still, she was still having fun, an onlooker says, as she whispered with her friends.

Laura Linney, sitting front row at the Betty Jackson fashion show as part of London's Fashion Week. But the actress – who attended with director Richard Eyre – wasn't just there for the frocks. According to a source, the runway show was also research for Linney's new film (also shooting in London) about the fashion industry.

Brooke Shields

Steve Sands / Bauer-Griffin

Lipstick Jungle's Brooke Shields, enjoying some retail therapy in New York at Catherine Malandrino's SoHo boutique. Always fashionable, the actress was one of the first to scoop up a piece from the designer's spring-summer 2008 collection. Her choice? A pleated, cherry-colored V-neck dress.

Ethan Hawke, walking his son, Levon, 6, in New York's Gramercy Park neighborhood. According to an onlooker, the actor, in track pants, looked to be a real doting dad, holding his son's hand and talking to him the whole time.
