Jessica & Tony: Hot-Spot Hopping in New York

The same day Tony Romo told PEOPLE that he and Jessica Simpson are not engaged but that marriage is something on his mind, the couple had dinner at Greenwich Village hot spot Waverly Inn.

The two, both 27, are going strong and can't bear to be apart, a source close to Simpson tells PEOPLE, adding: "They are doing great. They are really, really happy together."

In New York to be with Romo when he accepted his award at Cosmopolitan's Fun, Fearless Male luncheon, Simpson was due to fly to Nashville Tuesday before Romo joins her in Los Angeles, says the source.

"She's having a great time and is loving life right now," says the source. "She is happier than ever. Things with Tony are going really well."

And should she ever settle down, there's her 1,200-sq.-ft. Las Vegas condo in the Palms Place. Simpson has closed on a one-bedroom at the new 47-story hotel/residence set to open this weekend. (The condo was initially to be a newlywed pad for Simpson and then-husband Nick Lachey, but was awarded to Simpson as part of her divorce.)
