Is Hollywood's golden awards season also its steamiest? The envelope, please ...
THE "BACK ON AGAIN?" AWARD
OWEN & KATE
The former flames were inseparable at Madonna's post-show fete, flirting near the souvenir photo booth. "There was lots of arm touching, giggling," says an onlooker. "They were having lots of fun." Adds another: "They were all over each other." The day before, Wilson, 39, and Hudson, 28, met up twice—spending time at each other's homes!
THE "OF COURSE!" AWARD
PARIS & BENJI
The Good Charlotte rocker, 28 (and uncle to baby Harlow), has bounced back from his January split from fiancée Sophie Monk by hooking up with Hilton, 27. "Things are great; they've been friends for a long time and it just clicked," says a source. Hilton has been trading in her couture for clothing from his DCMA line and spent Oscar night at a cozy dinner for two at the Polo Lounge. Adds another pal: "Benji's someone she could get serious about."
MORE HOT HOOKUPS!
THE "JUST FRIENDS" AWARD
JENNIFER & JASON
Two months ago, Aniston's rep denied reports that the actress, 39, and Lewis, 36, were dating. But on Feb. 23, they visited Soho House as the Miramax/Audi dinner wrapped. Her rep says they met that night and "had a good laugh about how they were supposed to be together." Her mystery man at Courteney Cox Arquette Arquette's party the next night? "A friend, not romantic."
THE "THEY KNOW EACH OTHER?" AWARD
SEAN & PETRA
They shimmied into the wee hours at Prince's afterparty, kissing and holding hands. And despite arriving together at the Elton John AIDS Foundation bash earlier, model Nemcova, 28, denied she and Penn, 47, were dating. "We're friends," she said. "He's an advisory board member of my charity." While reps had no comment, a source admits, "She is into bad boys!"
SHE FINALLY SEES HER SONS
—AFTER SEVEN WEEKS!
Britney Spears's sons Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2, were reunited with their mother—the first time since the troubled pop star lost custody at an emergency hearing on Jan. 4. On the morning of Feb. 23, the tots were driven by bodyguards from her ex-husband Kevin Federline's Tarzana home to Brit's place in Studio City, where they spent three hours. "The close bond Britney has with her children is apparent to all involved," says a source close to the case, who adds that Spears's father, Jamie, and psychiatrist Dr. Lee Sadja have been monitoring the get-togethers. A second three-hour visit between Brit and her boys occurred two days later with the same success: "There was a lot of affection, a lot of hugs all around."
Jennifer and Marc
With two bundles of joy to care for, Jennifer Lopez is shifting into suburban-mommy mode. According to a source, the 38-year-old and Marc Anthony, 39, are home on Long Island after she delivered a girl weighing 5 lbs. 7 oz., at 12:12 a.m., and then a boy, at 12:23 a.m., weighing 6 lbs., on Feb. 22. The duo discouraged visitors (though her sister Lynda and pal Leah Remini got a peek at the twins), but there was no limit to the gifts sent to the hospital or the couple's mansion, where the nursery overflows with goodies (below). "The plan is to have an intimate brunch in a few weeks for well-wishers, when she looks and feels her best," says a source. Lopez's ex (a father of twins himself) Sean "Diddy" Combs predicts the multitasker will have no double trouble. "It's double the crying, double the screaming!" he says. "[But] it's a blessed situation. She's going to make a great mother."

On Feb. 18 Avril Lavigne, 23, with husband Deryck Whibley, 27, at her side, was spotted buying a diaper bag and baby blanket at Petit Trésor in West Hollywood; that same day she was seen at Lisa Kline Kids in L.A. purchasing a pacifier holder, thermal romper and diaper bag. Then, four days later on Feb. 22, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada about her upcoming North American tour, Lavigne responded to the pregnancy buzz by looking down at her tummy and proclaiming (albeit sarcastically), "I'm so pregnant. I look so fat, don't I?" So what gives? Lavigne's rep had no comment.
Alec & Ireland Bond
Almost a year after Alec Baldwin's expletive-filled voice mail message to his daughter Ireland, 12, went public, the duo appear to be mending their relationship. On Feb. 22 Baldwin, 49, and Ireland visited a Blockbuster in Woodland Hills, Calif. "They talked and laughed the whole time," says an onlooker. "They were having a good time together. He really got along great with his daughter." Adds a source close to Baldwin: "It was a nice weekend."
Jimmy and Ben's
Three weeks after Jimmy Kimmel's girlfriend, Sarah Silverman, aired a video on his show, jokingly confessing to an affair with Matt Damon, Kimmel fired back! On Feb. 24 he aired a star-studded video in which he claims he's sleeping with Ben Affleck. Ben's one rule? "Let's make this as funny as possible,'" Kimmel says. Mission accomplished!
"He ran into Jennifer Garner," says Kimmel. "She told him about the video ... he said, 'I'd like to be in that.'"
HUEY LEWIS & CAMERON DIAZ
"We had to have him," says Kimmel of Lewis. Diaz? "She suddenly said, 'I'll do it!'"
One of Damon's Ocean's Thirteen costars, Cheadle crooned, "We all hope Matt will understand."
"If acting doesn't work out," says Kimmel of Pitt, who plays a messenger, "there's a spot for him in home delivery!"
The former 'N Syncer sang with Macy Gray, Robin Williams, Pete Wentz and Joel and Benji Madden.
CHRISTINA APPLEGATE & REBECCA ROMIJN
The actresses shared a mike in a gospel-choir-backed number.

The outspoken pop princess turned American Idol judge is back on the music scene with a hot single—and she's as fired up as ever!
How did it feel to get back in the studio?
It made me so happy! Being back around dancers and back in the studio has been awesome.
Did Randy Jackson encourage you?
He said, "Dude, I'm telling you [the song] is you; it's a nod to your past, and it's you now." [I heard] the first four bars and I was like, "Oh my God!" And the title? "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow"—it's so perfect for my life story.
Any plans to release another album?
I'm back in the studio already! I'm going to do an album ... with five or six [of my] No. 1 songs but interpreted by different producers like will.i.am ... and then about five new songs.
How are things with your Idol colleagues?
With Ryan [Seacrest] and Randy, real good. Simon [Cowell] is still the mystery of all mysteries. I'm still shocked he doesn't hear the same talented kids I hear. In some ways it makes me happy because he looks like the dork!
How are things with your boyfriend, restaurant owner J.T. Torregiani?
I'm in a happy place right now.
Are you thinking about marriage?
I'm very skeptical about having to have a document that binds your love together. I know for him, marriage is an important thing, so it's kind of one of those things I have to balance out.
