The charges stem from his Feb. 12 arrest in Malibu.
Four misdemeanor counts were filed in total, which include driving while having a .08 percent or higher blood-alcohol level, and unlawful use of a license (he had a fake I.D., sheriffs confirmed).
Hilton's arraignment is set for April 14. He faces a maximum penalty of six months in jail for each count.
Last month, Hilton was driving a black Mercedes on Pacific Coast Highway just before 8 a.m. when another motorist observed him driving erratically, sheriffs said.
When Hilton stopped, the other driver had him sit on a bus bench until deputies arrived.
Hilton's blood-alcohol level was tested at .14 percent, sheriffs said.
Paris Hilton famously served time in jail last year for violating probation in an alcohol-related driving case. She was charged with DUI in September 2006.
