Caught in the Act!

• Cameron Diaz, partying with a girlfriend at Villa in West Hollywood. The actress and her friend took a seat in a VIP booth, preferring the company of her friends (later, three more people joined them) rather than the dancefloor. While her friends danced around her, one tried to lift the actress by the waist. She obliged, dancing for about a minute, then sat back down to shimmy in the comfort of her chair.

• Eva Longoria Parker, sharing a late afternoon meal with pal Mario Lopez at Los Angeles's CaféMed. According to a fellow diner, the Desperate Housewives star ate a steak, while Lopez enjoyed a plate of pasta. The pals were super friendly when a fan approached, asking their advice about breaking into the business. The two were also friendly with each other: A source tells us that over dinner Lopez gifted his friend a Cartier necklace.

• Sheryl Crow, hiking – solo – on the steepest route of Runyon Canyon. "She was beaming positive energy," a fellow hiker tells us. "She was totally in the zone and seemed to be enjoying the sunshine."

• Lord of the Rings star Elijah Wood, taking his non-assigned seat on a Southwest Airlines flight leaving Los Angeles International Airport en route to Austin, Texas for the SXSW Film Festival. Though he tried to go incognito, Wood had a hard time finding a seat, and fellow passengers recognized him. One even shouted, "There's a Hobbit onboard!"

• Also in Austin: Vanessa Hudgens, supporting friend Rosario Dawson at the world premiere of Explicit Ills at the Alamo Ritz. With her eyes visibly red following the screening – the movie is a tear-jerker! – Hudgens headed to an afterparty with the cast and crew at Light Bar.
