Inquest Starts in Corinne Bailey Rae Husband's Death
A coroner opened the official inquest into the death of saxophonist Jason Rae, the husband of Grammy-nominated singer Corinne Bailey Rae, on Thursday.

The 31-year-old musician was found dead Saturday afternoon at an apartment in the English city of Leeds.

The examining pathologist came to the preliminary conclusion the Rae had died from a suspected drugs overdose, he told the coroner during Thursday's hearing, a British wire service reports.

A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Police told PEOPLE there was no set time-frame for probe.

Results of a post mortem performed on the Scottish-born sax player – a member of the funk band The Haggis Horns – were inconclusive. Police now await results of toxicology tests.

The British-born Bailey Rae, 29, met her husband in a Leeds jazz club, where she worked as a coat-room attendant. They wed in 2001.
