Elton Slams U.S. 'Misogynistic Attitudes' at Hillary Concert
Wednesday night's all right for stumping!
The latest celebrity to take sides in this year's Presidential election is Sir Elton John, whose "Elton and Hillary: One Night Only" concert in New York City Wednesday raised $2.5 million for Clinton's campaign. "I've always been a Hillary supporter," the singer told the crowd at Radio City Music Hall. "There is no one more qualified to lead America."
The British singer, who, of course, is not allowed to vote in this country, played his hits "Border Song" and "Your Song," adding: "I'm amazed by the misogynistic attitudes of some of the people in this country. And I say to hell with them...I love you Hillary, I'll be there for you."
Former president Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea joined Hillary at the Radio City Music Hall event, where she addressed her race against fellow Democratic candidate, Barack Obama, telling the crowd: "What I want you to know is I'm still standing, and I believe this country is worth fighting for."
