Star Search Winner Welcomes First Child

Star Search winner Sam Harris, who won the competition in its premiere season, and his long-term partner, Danny Jacobsen, welcomed their first child, a son, his rep tells PEOPLE.

Cooper Atticus Harris-Jacobson was born Wednesday in Los Angeles and weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. Both Harris and Jacobsen were in the delivery room with the birth mother. "We are thrilled and overjoyed," Harris tells PEOPLE.

Harris, 46, is currently working on his next album, titled "Free," due for release in July. He recently co-starred on the CBS sitcom "The Class." – Ulrica Wihlborg
