Asked if Miller is to wed her boyfriend, Kelly Hoppen tells British Hello!: "That's a load of bull----. Although I have to admit when I read it in the paper I thought, 'Do I not know about something?' You end up believing what you read!"
Still, she's clearly fond of her stepdaughter's current beau. "I love him. He's a very cool, great guy. And you know what? He makes her happy, he loves her," Hoppen says.
Given Miller's tumultuous past with former fiancé Jude Law, Hoppen says of Ifans, "As long as he's kind to her – considering what she's been through – that's great. He's loyal, trustworthy and honest."
Hoppen was previously married to Sienna's father, American banker Ed Miller, and helped bring up the 26-year-old actress and her sister, Savannah.
