"Police are investigating an alleged assault on Chalk Farm Road at approximately 3:20 am on April 23," says a Metropolitan Police spokesman. "A 38-year-old man [contacted] Kentish Town police station and alleged a 24-year-old woman had assaulted him. No arrests have been made as yet but inquiries continue."
Winehouse, 24, was alleged to have headbutted a man outside of a bar who tried to hail her a taxi, according to a detailed account in The Sun. The article is accompanied by a slideshow sequence of photos which include one of the "Rehab" singer walking into a lamppost.
The singer, who has battled alcohol abuse and drug issues both before and during the incarceration of her 26-year-old husband Blake Fielder-Civil over claims of witness tampering, started the session on Tuesday afternoon and continued on until early Wednesday morning.
The Sun claims Winehouse attacked two men, kissed another, trashed a bar and smoked drugs on a sidewalk.
A call to Winehouse's London rep was not immediately returned.
The incident, described by the paper as her "most depraved night yet," is the latest in a long list of events involving the talented but troubled Winehouse, who entered rehab in January and won a gaggle of Grammys in February.
Last August she was hospitalized in London for what her rep called "exhaustion", however her father Mitch recently revealed that she in fact had a seizure brought on by drugs.
