Alicia Keys has been forced to pull the plug on a second concert – Thursday night at Cleveland's Wolstein Center – "due to a continued bout with swollen vocal chords," her record label, J Records, announced late Wednesday.
Earlier in the week, Keys, 27, canceled a Tuesday night concert in Pittsburgh. But the native New Yorker is slated to return to the stage this weekend in Ohio. "Keys, who is currently being treated by a physician, is expected to return to the stage on Saturday ... in Columbus," said J Records, which described the setback as a "vocal illness."
Keys kicked off the U.S. leg of her "Lexus Presents the Alicia Keys As I Am" tour on April 19 in Hampton, Va., following a European run.
Ticket holders for the Cleveland and Pittsburgh concerts may contact the respective venues for instructions. Cleveland ticket holders may also have their tickets honored at Saturday's Columbus show.
